Palm Springs Leather Pride 2026 Rides Into 'Valhalla' Over Halloween Weekend
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and in Palm Springs that Saturday belongs to the leather community. Palm Springs Leather Pride 2026 runs Thursday, October 29 to Sunday, November 1, according to its organizer, the Palm Springs Leather Order of the Desert (PSLOD). Hotel ZOSO hosts, and the theme comes from Norse myth: Valhalla. The invitation calls on "leather vikings and valkyries to come together in the mead hall." Subtle, it isn't.
What is leather pride?
A leather pride weekend is a gathering built around leather, kink and fetish identity. PSLOD gives 1994 as its founding year and says its mission includes informing the community about "varied safe/sane/consensual expressions" of the lifestyle (PSLOD). For comparison, see our Amsterdam Leather Pride 2026 post.
It's not Palm Springs Pride, which holds its own weekend November 6 to 8, 2026.
Where the money goes
PSLOD's welcome message is blunt: "ALL of the monies generated go to support PSLOD and other LGBTQIA+ organizations in our community." It also calls the weekend "the only completely volunteer driven Leather, Kink, and Fetish event in the world" (PSLOD). That's the organizer's claim, and honestly, nobody outside can verify it.
The structure is checkable, though. PSLOD describes itself as a California registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit corporation. ProPublica's Nonprofit Explorer lists an IRS ruling dated June 2007 and a Form 990 for the year ending December 2025 with revenue of $226,712 and expenses of $162,009. Those are whole-organization figures, not the weekend's takings.
One line item can be traced. Saturday's poolside yoga asks a suggested $10 donation, and the organizer says 100% of it goes to PS Test, a free, anonymous STI testing clinic (PSLOD). For the rest, as far as we can tell, no 2026 beneficiary list or total has been published.

Leather Pride etiquette and consent for first-timers
The organizer lists three house rules for Thursday's ticketed BATE party: "Get consent before you touch," "No lips below the hips," and "No penetration" (PSLOD). The National Coalition for Sexual Freedom's best practices call for prior consent "explicitly by verbal or written agreement rather than through gestures, body language or past behavior." A look across the bar isn't a yes, and no outfit is an invitation.
Before you arrive:
GO DEEP! is the dungeon/play party on the schedule (new to them? See play party etiquette).
CCBC, where the organizer says clothing is always optional, allows clear bags only.
One event guide says gear is "encouraged but never required."
A Saturday 2:30 pm talk is called "What Does Consent Look Like."
And Halloween? The same guide mentions a costume contest at the Tool Shed and a free street party on Arenas Road. The organizer posts no costume rule, and our guide to costumes and consent at Kinktober covers the Halloween side.
Before you book Palm Springs Leather Pride 2026
Schedules shift before Leather Pride in Palm Springs, so confirm times and prices on the organizer's page. First leather weekend? Go slow and ask first; enthusiastic consent is the habit to bring.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Palm Springs Leather Pride the same as Palm Springs Pride?
No. Palm Springs Pride is a separate event with its own organizer, held November 6 to 8, 2026.
Do I have to wear leather to attend?
No. The organizer publishes no general dress code, and one independent guide calls gear encouraged but never required.
Can I go to Palm Springs Leather Pride alone?
Nothing the organizer publishes suggests you need a companion. Solo? The donation-based events, like Thursday's Welcome Party at Hunters or the speaker series, are probably the easiest start.
